  • A Pharmacists Journey to Wellness with Manjit Hansra l S1E027

This is not just a pharmacist's journey to wellness but all those who realize they don't want to die with regrets. Manjit Hansra shares his journey after owning and operating a chain drug store for 18 years. Having witnessed the toll the pandemic took on his staff and clients, he decided to live with no regrets and embark on a new journey. Through his holistic approaches, he unveils the potential of breath for improved wellness, explores the science behind its benefits, and offers insights from his personal growth and holistic practices.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Exhaling's impact: Relaxing the diaphragm during exhalation reduces heart space, resulting in a smaller heart, and lower heart rate, and blood pressure.
    • Breath as a bridge: Discover how breath connects the mind and body, fostering relaxation.
    • Efficient breathing: Learn techniques for effective breathing, optimizing oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange and regulating the nervous system.
    • The 4-7-8 Breath Technique: Dr. Andrew Weil's Relaxing Breath offers a portable stress antidote inducing instant relaxation.

    About Manjit Hansra:

After owning and operating a chain drug store for over 18 years, Manjit Hansra decided to leave Community Pharmacy. He saw the toll the pandemic was taking on his staff, and the clients he served. I wanted to be a part of the solution to help people relying on a pill to improve things.

From his experience, real change occurs when we look at holistic treatment options. By combining the use of practical tools with reflecting inward, people can strengthen their connection between their mind, body, and soul. From attending retreats spanning 5 different continents, he has undergone a personal journey to continually improve and grow. His mission has become to help others along this path of self-reflection and experiential learning.

  • Stress to Alopecia to Boss Babe with Karina Budhrani | S1E022

The stress of going through covid and divorce, while being a single mother, resulted in Karina Budhrani developing Alopecia, a disease that happens when the immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss.

As a beautiful young woman, she had to build her life back together and help heal her immune system with supportive, sustainable, affordable and natural solutions.

After conducting extensive research Karina developed an organic all-natural rosemary & amla scalp and hair strengthening oil. She put this together with other beautiful additions and “I’m Hair For You Always” was created.

Her goal is to foster a supportive community of women who recognize that hair is more than just strands – it symbolizes confidence, identity, and personal growth which are an integral part of the healing journey.

    About Guest:

On May 5th, 2023, Karina Budhrani, the founder of 'I'm Hair For You Always,' launched her hair care brand with a mission to support and inspire women, particularly those navigating challenging life transitions.

Through her own journey, Karina faced the struggles of thinning hair due to alopecia (telogen effluvium), which drove her to seek affordable and natural solutions. Everywhere she went she was only offered expensive and invasive treatments which at that time as a single mother were not a safe and sustainable option. After conducting extensive research and experimenting with ingredients, she developed an organic all-natural rosemary & amla scalp and hair strengthening oil.

Her goal is to foster a supportive community of women who recognize that hair is more than just strands – it symbolizes confidence, identity, and personal growth which are an integral part of the healing journey.

Whether individuals are dealing with hair loss from stress, postpartum, post-Covid recovery, or simply seeking to improve scalp and hair care, Karina will be hair for you always.

  • 3 Steps to Embrace Embarrassment & Ease the Brutal Inner Critic l S1E021

Navigating embarrassing situations is not easy! Today I share a personal and embarrassing story that taught me valuable lessons about self-compassion and the power of words.

You will learn the three steps to navigate embarrassment:

    1. Mindfulness: When faced with an embarrassing situation, bring your attention to the sensations in your body and the thoughts and emotions that arise. Notice any self-critical or negative thoughts that may be surfacing.
    2. Common Humanity: Recognize that embarrassment is a universal human experience. Remind yourself that everyone makes mistakes and encounters awkward moments at times.
    3. Self-Kindness: Respond to embarrassing situations with self-kindness and self-care. Treat yourself as you would a close friend who is going through a difficult moment.

Navigate embarrassing situations with a compassionate and understanding mindset, allowing yourself to learn and grow from the experience rather than getting caught up in self-judgment.

  • Thriving as an HSP in a Chaotic World: Strengths, Struggles, and Self-Care l S1E020

Hello and welcome! So glad you're here, whether you're a returning listener or a new one.

Have you ever felt like your emotions are just too big to handle, or that you get overwhelmed by negative or busy environments? Maybe you're someone who's always been told that you're "too sensitive." If that's the case, then this episode is for you.

Today, we're talking about highly sensitive people, or HSPs, and how being one can be both a strength and a weakness. On the one hand, HSPs are incredibly in tune with the world around them, able to pick up on subtle cues and emotions that others might miss. They have big, open hearts, and are often the ones who are there to support and care for others.

But on the other hand, being an HSP can also leave you feeling drained and depleted, in need of some peace and quiet to recharge. In today's fast-paced and often overwhelming world, it's more important than ever to learn how to take care of ourselves as HSPs.

That's why we'll be discussing the benefits of being highly sensitive, as well as some self-care practices that can help us cleanse and recharge. So if you're an HSP, or if you know someone who is, stick around and learn how to thrive in a world that can sometimes feel like too much to handle.
