[00:45] How Allison Pelot Got Involved In The Health and Fitness Space 

  • Allison did gymnastics her whole life and even went to college on a gymnastics scholarship. 
  • Eventually, Allison graduated with an exercise science degree.
  • When Allison was an athlete, she would eat lots of carbs and low fat meals. Down the road, Allison began to understand nutrition much better. 
  • After having kids, Allison started personal training as an independent contractor. 
  • Over the years, Allison has helped people navigate the physical and the energetic aspects of their lives. 

[11:05] You Need To Listen To Your Body and Create Space For Healing 

  • There is a vicious cycle of needing to fix things all of the time. 
  • We are taught things like “no pain, no gain" in the fitness industry.”
  • However, Allison says that we need to listen to our bodies and create space with ourselves. 
  • Have more patience with yourself because the body has a unique rhythm.
  • Tap into your body’s intelligence to allow healing to take place. 

[18:30] Reacting vs. Responding: The Power of Choice Is In Your Hands

  • There are going to be times when you react to things. 
  • Reacting to everything in life means you are living in survival mode. 
  • When we can take responsibility for ourselves, it will create less anxiety. 
  • We all have the power to choose how we respond at the moment. 
  • Have intention behind your choices and responses. 
  • If you don’t have a choice, then you will never be able to create the life that you want. 

[23:00] Clean Up Your Stinking Thinking Through Meditation and Positivity 

  • Your thinking has been passed down from generation to generation; it’s time to break the chain!
  • One way to break your thinking patterns is by meditating in the morning.

  • If you find yourself thinking negatively, you need to figure out how to get out of those thinking patterns. 
  • Train your mind to create focus on what you would like to improve on.

  • Your mornings should be sacred.
  • Wake up earlier and prioritize time for yourself in the morning.
  • If you have dreams, take a moment and write them down. 
  • The morning is a great time to tap into the energetic part of yourself. 
  • Gratitude journals work so well because they will change your focus. 
  • Be with yourself and do what your soul calls you to do in the morning.
