We had the honor of sitting down with famed Chef Kathy Fang, who grew up under the tutelage of her renowned father, Chef Peter Fang, to talk about her family’s landmark restaurants “House of Nanking” and “Fang Restaurant.” Watching her parents work 7 days a week, 365 days a year to build their legendary family business drove Chef Kathy to the success she is today: a two time “Chopped” champion and a recent James Beard nominee. After getting to personally taste her award winning culinary skills, we still don’t understand how her hubby of 10 years prefers McDonald’s and spam dishes. Jessica Simpson defended herself this week after ex-husband, Nick Lachey revealed he and his family shared a six and half hour flight with Simpson in first class, while her family sat back in coach.  Simpson explained her mom paid for the flight as a gift, and that if she had purchased the tickets, her kids would’ve been sitting with her. Which brings us to our latest work trip this weekend to Bottlerock, where we screwed up the tickets and ended up with a middle seat back in coach. T.J. insisted his daughter sit up front, while he took one for the team. How does it work in your family?

The wedding celebration between President Trump’s eldest son and namesake,  and a Florida socialite will go on today as planned in the Bahamas without the President.  Trump announcing on social media that “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”  Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson already officially married on Thursday in Florida, and are celebrating in a small, private ceremony later today with Don Jr’s siblings, children and other family members.  Trump missing both events, staying behind in D.C.

This is hands down, our favorite movie we’ve seen so far this year. There’s a very good reason “Obsession” has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes: It’s scary, creepy, hilarious, and so damn original.  You don’t even need to like horror movies to love “Obsession.” We guarantee you’ll be careful what you wish for after seeing this brilliant film.

Mayor Karen Bass says she’s holding down two jobs right now: by day she’s focused on her current job as mayor of Los Angeles, but after hours, she’s working non-stop on her re-election campaign. It’s the final stretch before the primaries on June 2nd., and according to the most recent poll numbers, Bass is leading the pack. However, former reality star Spencer Pratt is making headway, right behind the mayor at 22 percent. Bass says she takes nothing for granted, and with President Trump’s recent endorsement of Pratt seemingly welcome news for a very liberal leaning city, the mayor says she is working hard to secure another 4 years on the job.
