A jury took a little more than 8 hours to convict the Hawaii anesthesiologist accused of pushing and trying to kill his wife on a steep birthday hike. 40-year-old Dr. Gerhardt Konig was convicted of attempted manslaughter but the jury spared Konig of the more serious charge of second degree attempted murder. Konig now faces up to 20 years in prison for his conviction.

Royal Bahamas Police say they’ve made an arrest in the disappearance of 55-year-old Michigan wife and mother, Lynette Hooker. Her 59-year-old husband, Brian Hooker has been taken into custody after he told police high winds and rough seas threw his wife overboard from their 8 foot dinghy. Lynette’s daughter has been making the rounds, letting media and police know her step-dad has been violent with her mom before her disappearance.

A 55-year-old Michigan wife and mother is missing in the Bahamas after her husband says she fell overboard in their 8 foot dinghy in rough seas. An intense search and recovery effort is underway to find Lynette Hooker. While authorities haven’t speculated on how and why she went missing at sea, her husband says the winds and currents drove them too far apart for him to save her. Hooker’s daughter is calling for a criminal investigation into her mother’s disappearance, telling media outlets her step-dad has a history of violence towards her mother.

There has been a growing call by lawmakers and organizations for President Trump to be removed from office after his violent threats to take out “a whole civilization.” Democratic members of Congress, including a few Republicans, have called on Trump’s cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and declare him unfit to serve.

President Trump has been posting up a storm on social media, from attacking CNN to celebrating “World Peace” less than 24 hours after writing “a whole civilization will die tonight.” There are massive questions this morning about what Iran’s official response was to the ceasefire agreement. Trump’s released version is significantly different than the lengthier, more aggressive one reported on by CNN and other news outlets.”

A judge ruled today that Taylor Frankie Paul can only have 8 hours of supervised visits each week with her 2-year-old son, Ever. Paul shares her youngest son with ex Dakota Mortenson, who filed for a permanent restraining order after submitting more videos of an incident between the two where Paul reportedly pushes him with their child in his arms. Paul also filed a temporary protective order against Mortenson alleging he physically assaulted her in February of this year.

After presale tickets sold out for London’s Wireless Festival today, the UK blocked Kanye West from entering the country, saying his presence “would not be conducive to the public good.” Jewish organizations have been outraged that West was even asked to headline the popular festival, which has now been cancelled, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer echoed a similar sentiment, saying West should never have been invited.
