One of the beauties of ruminant animals is their ability to use forages, but it's our job to manage those forages for the best use possible. Managing forages well increases dry-matter intake, decreases the need and expense of supplemental feed, and even improves herd health. However, weeds — especially toxic weeds — throw a huge wrench in all of that. Learn from Jeff Clark with Corteva AgriScience about what you can do to proactively manage your forages and keep weeds at bay.

Quality pays. It’s been the Certified Angus Beef brand’s motto for some time, but many a producer has wondered over the years…does it really? Results of an ongoing survey say a resounding yes. CAB's Paul Dykstra shares with both Kasey and Miranda that CAB recently crunched the numbers and tallied the premiums to find not only does quality still pay, it is paying even more these days.

Welcome to our new podcast! We are starting this new frontier with a topic that affects every single cattle operation — calf health. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seedstock or a commercial operator, you need to have live, healthy calves. We know it’s not all rainbows and sunshine after a calf is born. Kasey sat down with veterinarian Halden Clark to talk about blind spots in calf health, and what we can do to set them up for a successful, healthy life.
