Anthony Iannarino is a Physical Therapist and Strength and Conditioning coach currently serving as a Performance Therapist with the Washington Wizards.
Prior to transitioning to professional sports, Anthony served as a clinic director for Rehab 2 Perform as well as the performance therapist for the Bullis School Track and Field where he worked elite high school runners both trackside and in the clinic.
In addition to his work with the Wizards, Anthony is also a director and lecturer with R2P Academy which provides rehab and performance education to clinicians and coaches both in person and virtually.
In this episode, we talk about the big, overarching principles that guide his return to play process.
From there, we go deeper and talk about hamstring injuries, including why they tend to linger and what you can do to get those hammies healthy once and for all.
And to pull it all together, we discuss career development, how to guide your continuing education, and how pizza and physical prep are incredibly similar. Enjoy!
When we start talking about our KPI’s and key performance indicators, each one of those should have a test underneath it or a metric I’m tracking. – Anthony Iannarino
Force plates are in no way, shape or form new technology, but Hawkin Dynamics has brought them to the 21st century.
Hawkin Dynamics plates are wireless which makes them portable and easy to set-up and use.
You’ll have the ability to performance test your athletes in a matter of seconds, and give them immediate feedback on their strengths and weaknesses.
Their software interface is clean, intuitive and easy on the eye, so both you and your athletes can visualize what’s going on and how to improve their performance.
And last but not least, dual force plates allow you to see side-to-side asymmetries, especially in athletes who are in the return to play process.
With options to lease or buy, coupled with a 5-year warranty, Hawkin Dynamics force plates can take your performance facility to the next level.
