  • ADHD and Meditation, an Opportunity to Get Started
Experts agree meditation is very helpful for those with ADHD. We all know that it's helpful, so why aren't we doing it? In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, ADHD coach Jeff Copper (www.digcoaching.com) has a conversation with Adam Coutts (https://intromeditation.com/), an ADDer who's been meditating for more than 30 years. Jeff and Adam talk about his philosophy and what he does, and Jeff shares ideas about what it's like to launch yourself into meditation in a way that makes sense that you'll follow up on. If you get that this works but haven't been able to do it, this is a show you don't want to miss.

  • ADHD Medications: History and Insights
For more than eight decades, medication stimulants have been used effectively as a treatment for ADHD.  To date, research suggests that these medications may have the highest impact on helping those with ADHD move forward in life. In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, attention and ADHD coach Jeff Copper (www.digcoaching.com) shares an interview from 2018 with Dr. John I. Bailey, Jr., retired medical doctor who specialized in the treatment of ADHD and was known as the “dean” of ADHD treating physicians in Alabama. Dr. Bailey talked about how, by accident, the stimulants had been discovered to help those with ADHD to focus. He discussed the history of stimulant medications and articulated a simple difference in the various drugs and their effects. If you are curious about ADHD and stimulant medications, be sure to listen to this episode.

ADHD and addictive behavior are highly correlated. Some ADHD professionals automatically screen for addictions when diagnosing ADHD. They also screen for ADHD when diagnosed with an addiction.
