This week, Clay Newcomb sits around the fire with Jonathan Wilkins and Natalie Krebs of Outdoor Life at the Black Duck Revival goose camp in Brinkley, Arkansas. The conversation flows from why Natalie lived in New York City and her career as a writer, all the way to the nitty gritty of Arkansas goose hunting. Clay ends the podcast with a sad story of a buck that slipped through his hands.

Clay visited Ed at his home in the Greenhorn Mountains of Southern California to discuss his inability to stand still as the mountains called him with the promise of bear and lion. Ed has spent a lifetime following hounds and learning about life. They also talk about Ed's book, "Trained by a Hound Dog."

They go into detail about their whitetail hunting season, including Kolby's muzzleloader double. Clay talks about three years of patterning bucks on the same scrape and the very clear patterns he's noticed, as well as the hunter's deep connection to place and why that's important.

This week at the Bear Hunting Magazine Global Headquarters Clay talks with Matt and Weston Taylor and Bear Newcomb about their bear, deer, turkey and hog hunting in 2020. However, the meat of the conversation comes at the end of the podcast when they talk about processing bear meat and fat and how to use it. Matt killed a bear this year and he goes into detail about how he's used the bear, including the bear grease. Matt and his family prefer bear meat over deer meat. You'll enjoy the stories and you'll learn something as well.
