Katherine May’s bestselling memoir, Wintering, which was released in January 2021, at the height of our pandemic winter, couldn’t have been more timely. The book chronicles her year of retreat from the world after a series of events left her in a dark place. The same year, she also decided to pull her six-year-old son from school, after he was bullied.
