Welcome to This Glorious Mess Big Kids. A twice-weekly look at parenting as it really is. Confusing, exhausting, inspiring, funny, and full of surprises. So many surprises.
Are your kids risk-takers?
Well, our guest today Daisy Turnbull, thinks our kids aren't taking enough risks. As the Director of Wellbeing at St Catherine's in Sydney, she realised that our year 7's weren't necessarily prepared for the independence that comes with going to High School. So she wrote a book about it, 50 Risks To Take With Your Kids.
Daisy shares the importance of our kids contributing meaningfully to the household, the need to allow for rationalised risk and how we can learn to embrace their independence.
Plus, Holly and Andrew dive deep into the single-sex vs co-ed school debate for this weeks listener dilemma!
