In this episode I give you some key signals to someone's unavailability but also highlight how you may be the emotional unavailable one! But no worries - of course I give you some tips on what to do about it.

Kristi has identified as an anxious-preoccupied attachment style and had reactions in conflict that she did not understand and did not like - nor did her fiancé!
In the Reattach coaching group she was able to see her triggers and how she had more control than she thought over managing them. Now, she has more peace in her relationship and can move forward with confidence that she can handle her anxiety much better and be more present in all types of communication within her relationship.
She touches on some other important points as well, like:
-releasing shame surrounding negative reactions
-the importance of self-soothing
-taking responsibility for actions and her role in conflict
-getting practical tools to manage anxiety
Kristi completed Reattach, a group for those wanting to shift from an insecure attachment style to a secure attachment style.

Aleksandra completed the Reattach Group + 1-on-1s! After doing a bunch of her own research and searching for answers down many different avenues, she finally invested in herself on a different level and did the work she needed to do to make all these positive changes.
In this episode she talks about:
-grieving past toxic relationships
-her overthinking
-identifying and embracing a range of feelings, even when they are uncomfortable
-making a decision to tackle her specific issues and invest in herself in a new way
Some of my favorite things about Aleksandra (and that boosted her progress) is how focused she gets on her goals, her level of commitment, and her desire to learn. Her open-mindedness and discipline combined definitely helped her get to her results.
Thank you for sharing with us Aleksandra! I can’t wait to see what happens next :)

This part focuses on the impact as it relates to more of the energetically masculine (function, practicality, work, money) rather than the energetically feminine (empathy, nurture, emotional intimacy). I will address the emotional impact and how it manifests in attachment issues in Part 2.
In this episode you will hear about -
The Issue of Overgeneralizing Negative Relationship Experiences
Importance of Consistency & Stability
Leadership & Communicating Vision

Welcome back to yourself, welcome home!
Sara was a member of REATTACH. She joined while going through a divorce, looking for emotional support and the truth. She found it and more. I'm so happy to have been a part of her journey.
Fear and other less-preferred emotions can take over us, blinding us to who we really are and what we are capable of. Our options seem limited during thoswe times, and the options we can see don't often seem appealing. When we remove those distortions and get back in touch with the core of ourselves, we are free. Welcome home.
REATTACH: This group will move you from a place of insecurity in love to a secure and confident position in your relationships and as an individual. You will learn and apply practical tools to reconfigure unhelpful patterns that have kept you in the same negative relationships cycles, including: identifying and expressing your emotional needs, managing and reducing the effect of your triggers, getting clear on how past relational issues with parents and significant romantic partners affect how you relate in the present, and how to solidify your identity on the secure side of the attachment spectrum. Limited to 10 women.
Don't forget to leave a rating on the podcast before you go! See you next season.

The Single Mother Effect Pt. I was so much I needed to split it!
Our background has a lot to do with what’s going on with us right now, especially if it’s gone unattended to. Most people don’t think about or even want to address the single mother for some significant reasons I talk another in Pt. I.
This info will be helpful if you grew up with a single mom or if your father was largely absent, even if they remained married.
One thing I’ll continue to say I’m proud of is that my practice has been so diverse, both in 1-on-1s and group. This problem is no different in that it doesn’t matter what your race or gender is, it can affect you! But I do make some specific points about Black families/individuals because this issue does disproportionately affect Black people. I give some stats in Pt. 1 and quickly remind you of some in this live.
Ok so now that’s out the way - here I’m getting into:
- how growing up with the single mother effect can affect you and your relationships
-what you can do about it
This was tough to get into! A LOT of trigger points 🥴
