Check Your Privilege with Myisha T

Listen Later

Dr. Dan speaks to anti-racist educator, founder of Check Your Privilege, and author Myisha T on today’s episode. Their conversation will deepen listeners’ awareness of unconscious bias and educate parents and families everywhere.

Myisha T. Hill is a mental health activist, speaker, and entrepreneur who is passionate about mental wellness and empowerment for all. She founded and runs the advocacy site Check Your Privilege. Myisha works with organizations and community groups taking white people on a self-reflective journey to explore their relationship with power, privilege, and racism.

Check Your Privilege  is a global movement that supports individuals on their journey of becoming actively anti-racist. Through the organization’s online workshops and events they aim to deepen the awareness of how unconscious bias, and the interlocking systems of domination, affect the mental health of Black, Brown, Indigenous, marginalized Persons of Color.

Additionally, Myisha T.’s book Check Your Privilege: Live Into the Work invites readers to embark on their own anti-racism journey.
