​Thirty-seven year old Chung Wai Kit is a Beijing-based producer of documentary films. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chung traces his family background to a city about three thousand kilometers northeast of there. Besides Hong Kong and Beijing, Chung has lived and studied for a while in Taipei. He says the Chinese mainland offers more opportunities than Hong Kong or Taiwan for young people who want to set out in life by themselves.
