만물은 그 속에 있는 생명의 근본, 본체인 신명이 있어서 존재한다. 신이 없는 곳이 없다. 이 대우주에 신이 꽉 들어 차 있고 신이 하지 못하는 바가 없다. 우리 삶에서 일어나는 모든 현상 사건은 그 사건, 그 기운을 몰고 다니는 신이 있다.

Everything has a spirit inside as the core of its nature and life force, and this is what enables them to exist. There is no place without spirits. The universe is 1.1. unequivocallycompletely filled with spirits. There is nothing spirits cannot do. All phenomena and events that occur in our lives are the doing of spirits.

이때 태모님께서 신도(神道)로써 포정소(布政所) 문을 여시고 도장 개창을 선언하시매 상제님 어천 이후에 어찌할 바를 몰라 방황하던 성도들이 다시 크게 발심(發心)하여 태모님을 모시거늘 태모님께서 대흥리 차경석의 집을 본소(本所)로 정하시고 각기 사방으로 돌아다니며 포교에 힘쓰게 하시니라.

At this time, Taemonim wielded Her spiritual authority to inaugurate the Center of Dao Authority and Governance, then declared the founding of Her dojang. Sangjenim’s disciples, who had been lost and uncertain what to do since Sangjenim’s ascension, unequivocally reaffirmed their resolve and began to follow Taemonim. Taemonim designated Cha Gyeongseok’s house in Daeheung-ri Village as the dojang and had the disciples journey in every direction to spread Sangjenim’s teachings.

수행을 하는 방법은 어려운 법이 아니에요. 어려운 무슨 뭐 수행 철학이 있는게 아니야. 자세를 반듯하게 하고, 나는 그 무엇에도 항복하지 않겠다는 강한 의지를 가지고. 이런 강력한 의지와 무너지지 않는 심법으로 진실되고 거짓 없는 마음, 깨어있는 마음, 공경하고 믿는 마음, ‘내가 진리 자체다’라는 믿음으로 읽으면 된다.

(147년 625대천제 도훈을 암송용으로 다소 각색하였습니다.)

Meditation is not something esoteric. Practicing meditation does not require any complex meditation philosophy. Straighten your posture and adopt an iron resolve to surrender to nothing. Take this strong will and resilient mindset and practice meditation with a truthful and sincere mind, fully awake, with reverence and faith, believing, ‘I am the truth itself.’

극락이 내 마음속에

Paradise Resides Within Your Mind

상제님께서 하루는 말씀하시기를 “땅 탐을 하면 구렁이가 되나니 탐을 말아라. 극락이 다 내 마음 속에 있느니라. 배고픈 사람 밥 주고, 옷 없는 사람 옷 주는 내 마음을 바르게 하고, 그 바른 마음을 일상으로 유지해야 극락을 가는 것이지 줘 놓고도 흠구덕을 하고 ‘나는 아무것을 줬다, 어쨌다.’ 하고 자랑하면 안 준 것만 못하니라. 사람이 마음을 잘 먹으면 되는 것이지, 극락이 따로 있느냐? 다 내 마음에 있는 것이니라.” 하시니라.

Sangjenim one day declared, “Those who greedily covet land become serpents after death, so do not covet land. Paradise resides within your mind.

“When you offer food to the hungry and clothes to the unclothed, do so with a true mind; if this true mind is preserved every day, you will reach paradise. If you speak ill of others after giving them something or if you boast about what you have given, this is worse than not giving anything at all. Since what matters is that a person keeps a true mind, does paradise exist elsewhere? Truly, paradise resides within your mind.”

after giving them something 그들에게 무언갈 준 이후에/

or if you boast about 또는 자랑한다면/

what you have given, 너희가 준 것에 대해/

this is worse 더 나쁜 것이다/

than not giving anything at all. 아무것도 주지 않은 것 보다 /

Since what matters is 중요한 것은 /

that a person keeps a true mind, 참 마음을 지키는 것이므로

does paradise exist elsewhere? 극락이 다른 곳에 있겠느냐?/

Truly, paradise resides within your mind.”진실로, 극락은 너희들 마음속에 실재 하느니라.

일꾼된 자 강유(剛柔)를 겸비하여 한편이라도 기울지 아니하여야 할지니 천지의 대덕(大德)이라도 춘생추살(春生秋殺)의 은위(恩威)로써 이루어지느니라.

The worker must always possess both firmness and gentleness,

never swaying too far in either direction, for even the supreme virtue of heaven and earth requires both the benevolence and grimness of giving life in spring and taking life in autumn.
