In this episode of Untidy, we talk to Obstetric Social Worker, Parent Educator, and mum of four boys, Genevieve Muir. With a passion for helping parents in the first five years of raising kids, Gen has worked with over 40,000 parents to navigate the real challenges facing modern parents.
What we love about Gen is that she gives us the real ‘boots on the ground’ advice about how to handle tricky and awkward situations with our kids, like; meltdowns in public, biting, hitting, sibling conflict, when fun play goes wrong, and, what to do when we’re about to lose our sh*t ourselves. We get coached through our own parenting quandaries and Gen gives examples of great dialogue and actions we can take with our kids to be better connected and more effective parents. She’s funny, real, and she’s made a lot of the same mistakes we all have, so, she ‘gets it’!
Check out Gen’s website, Connected Parenting online for information on consults and courses, and follow Gen on Instagram at @connectedparentingau where she shares her wisdom in bite-sized chunks.
