On this week’s episode Haley & Alyssa welcome back Australian pro triathlete Grace Thek, who recently finished 5th at the 2021 Indian Wells Ironman 70.3. We last heard from Grace back in February of 2018 as a newly minted pro. Since then she has had several wins and podium finishes at the 70.3 distance. In 2021 Grace decided to transition to a full time professional athlete, leaving behind her job as a physical therapist in Australia to focus on training, racing, and recovery. She talks about why this was the right decision for her at this point in her career, and what has changed in her day-to-day life since switching to a full time athlete.

As an international athlete Grace has travelled all over the globe to train and race. She talks about the ups and downs of this on the go lifestyle, especially during the last 18 months. Grace is also a self-proclaimed foodie, and she talks about some of the best food stops she’s had around the world while travelling for races.
