One large Banana

*mash up your banana, add one scoop of your Chocolate Shakeology, make them into little balls, press your thumb in the middle of the ball to make a little spot for your dollop of peanut butter!

That's it!!

Today's recipe:

3 Ingredient Breakfast!
2 eggs
1/2 cup of oats
1 cup of your favorite fruit (sometimes I will sub with spinach)
Cinnamon (optional)

Mix eggs and oats. Sprinkle in some cinnamon. Pour onto heated pan and form into a pancake. Add fruit. Let it sizzle and cook for a few minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional minute.

Top with some additional fruit and dig in, mama!!

You're not alone. Many of us, especially moms, suffer from catastrophic feeling.

How about when your friend who normally texts you right back doesn't....does that send uncomfortable thoughts and feelings through your body???

Here's what you can do to stop catastrophic thinking:

Bring more awareness to your body, notice when there was shift in how you are feeling. That change might have been the beginning of catastrophic thinking!

Action Steps to stop catastrophic thinking:

1- Identify what's going on
2- Distract yourself (call a friend, turn on music, workout, etc)

you'll need:

2/3 cup Greek Yogurt
1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology protein powder
1 tb of Peanut Butter
1/4 tsp Vanilla extract 

(you can also add dark chocolate chips and sprinkles)

Mix together and dig in! You can dip fruit in it, or spread it on a rice cake!!

Welcome to season two of Crazy Sexy Anxiety!!

Let's talk about triggers.

Triggers are everywhere and it's not realistic to say that we can walk around avoiding anything that could trigger us.

Typically, when we're triggered, we'll notice a physical change in our bodies. Our heart rate might speed up, our palms could get sweaty, we could feel a tightening in our chest.

This week, we are talking with  therapist, Tanya Portee, to dig a little deeper into triggers.

So what can we do to protect ourselves so we don't spiral when we are triggered?

-Ground yourself with gratitude (even if it's just the roof over your head)
- Have a schedule to move your body and just a schedule in general
-Getting fresh air
-A healthy sleep schedule
-Setting healthy boundaries

Here's the recipe for my one dish pasta recipe:

2 pints cherry tomatoes 
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 olive oil
Oregano
One container of feta cheese

Coat a casserole dish with a little olive oil
Add all of the ingredients to the casserole dish
Roast at 350 degrees for 40 minutes

Toss with some pasta and watch your entire family devour it!

First of all, I am so grateful for all of you for allowing me into your lives this first season of Crazy Sexy Anxiety. It has been such an honor to be a part of all of your lives and I hope I made things just a little bit easier for you. 

Okay, let's dive in. 

I gained weight when I got on Lexapro. I was puffy. My jeans wouldn't zip. I felt terrible. And I'm not proud of this, but I actually got off of Lexapro because I didn't think I "needed" it anymore. I was wrong. 

I need this drug in my system in order to function without extreme anxiety. But I needed to find a solution for the weight gain because let's be real, nobody likes to feel puffy with excess weight. 

A former gym rat, I needed a program that  would NOT  have tethered to an extreme workout schedule. I also needed a program that offered nutrition which involved REAL food in addition to shakes and pre and post workout options. 

Bodi gave me both. And best of all, it gave me a new outlook on MY body. 

At the age of 45, I can honestly tell you that I love and respect my body and I am in an  ever evolving relationship with my mind.
