Kiyotaka Katsuta was one of, if not, Japan's most prolific serial killer. For exactly a decade, Kiyotaka would sneak into the homes of both men and women, strangle them or shoot them, rob them of a small sum of cash, and escape. Due to these crimes spanning all around the country, and no specific victim profile, Japanese police failed to connect the dots. Kiyotaka was caught due to his cockiness, confidence and his belief that, well, he would never be captured. Serial killers are all around us, and they span from East Coast to West Coast. Atlantic to Pacific. Europe to Asia, and everywhere in between. They're present in every country and every culture, and they're just as, if not, more terrifying than those we learn about here in the United States.

This week, we walk through the current case of Maddi Kingsbury. 26-year-old Maddi Kingsbury disappeared on March 31, 2023. A slew of unanswered calls, text messages and knocks on her front door led friends and family to call police requesting a welfare check. Upon arrival at the home, Maddi's ex-boyfriend, Adam Fravel, answered the door, stating he hadn't heard from Maddi all day, but wasn't worried. Maddi's body was found 69 days later several minutes from Adam's parents property an hour away from the couple's home. This case is currently on going, and no one has been found guilty.

This week Kelsie shares the tragic death of Ellen Greenberg, a 27-year-old first grade teacher who was found stabbed to death in her apartment by her fiancé. Stabbed over twenty times, ten to the back of the head and neck, with the knife still plunged deep into her heart, Ellen's death was ruled a suicide, within minutes upon police arrival. To this day Ellen's parents continue to fight for their daughters case, with more evidence pointing towards homicide.

They talk through Jerry Brudos, a serial killer in the Pacific North West who targeted young women in parking garages and secluded areas. Growing up, Jerry had a shoe fetish, but was demonized by his mother, who punished him whenever he was found with shoes. In his teenage years, Jerry began fantasizing about women, but, about strangling them and leaving them unconscious. Jerry Brudos would go on to be the longest incarcerated inmate at the Oregon State Penitentiary.

This week Kelsie covers the case of Florida Serial Killer, Oba Chandler. When three women's bodies were found floating off the shores of Florida, investigators had no idea what happened to these women, or who could've done this. The women were from Canada, and sadly enough, were on vacation to escape a harsh reality. Two weeks prior to the discovery of the bodies, a young girl was raped by a man who'd taken her out for a boat ride around Pinellas County in Florida. Police failed to make the connection, but a neighbor and a handwriting sample would put Oba away forever.
