After the amazing response from last weeks episode about how our lives have changed in our 30's, dating, friendships, our bodies, we wanted to continue the theme and see what's next - the 40's. Everyone says the 40's are the new 30's and we needed to find someone who has really stepped into their own and transformed their life in their 40's and who else but the inspirational Alex Pike.

We chat about becoming an aspiration figure in your 40's, how life changes as we get older and how have friendships and relationships evolved for her in her 20's, 30's and now 40's? When and how did she find and build her confidence which inspired her new online program Inside Outside Beauty.

We touch on parenting, parenting boys, what's happening in the cosmetic world next (you don't want to miss that bit) and what can people do on budgets for their skin in their 20's, 30's and 40's.

There's a lot we cover and it's comforting to know that it does seem that life can and does get better with age. Maybe we just have to look at it through fresh eyes.

Renece Brewster 14 years ago began her start up journey with her business partner and launched Visual Domain. To make ends meet Renece worked 4 jobs including delivering pizza (the time before Uber eats). These are some of the things we don’t see or hear from entrepreneurs - how much they had to actually do - the hustle and grind - to get where they are today. The story behind the journey. 

Today Renece’s start up Visual Domain is Australia’s leading video platform developer with over 100 employees. We consume so much video content without actually realising all across social media, on web pages, on TV and it’s only growing. 

We talk about brands creating connection with their audiences, how does video content differ from all the different platforms (instagram, Tik Tok etc), what brands can do to improve their video marketing, being a leader, growing a business, raising money and hurdles she has faced along the way being a female founder in a male dominant industry. 

Renece explains how growth creates opportunity within a business and her role with Girls In Tech a nonprofit organisation dedicated to eliminating the gender gap in tech.

Jen Proctor a true entrepreneur and taste maker in the sense it's hard to define and contain what she does because there are no limitations. Jen is the founder and CEO of Cultivated Entertainment a media, brand, talent consultancy agency they create relationships and unforgettable experiences. They work with the likes of the Drew Barrymore Show, Meta, Youtube, Nike and the list goes on.

In the last 2 years Jen has managed to grow CE to unbelievable heights, take on more staff, have 2 kids and somehow stay grounded.
