Danny Wallace's Important Broadcast

The offering this week approaches 80 minutes and gives you plenty of time to take it all in, especially once you factor in the second and third listens (at half speed where necessary). Apparently Steve has made a new friend, so he'll tell all about that. Plus, some crow propaganda, more on the great Nectar mystery and a crucial update from Senior Listener, James Beckley, about his food shop.

The Important Broadcast is unashamedly and categorically proud of its mission to educate. This week's module goes out of its way to do this and more, with all the usual facts; but lessons too. Have wet boots slowed you down? How will you dry them? FIND OUT. Do you keep losing teaspoons? What's that all about? FIND OUT. Just sit back and get ready to learn one hell of a lot.

Following some very sad news for our Great Leader, the I.B.S returned to the airwaves, in an effort to do business as usual and to pay tribute to a fantastic man.

As it fell to Steve to do the heavy lifting in the anecdote department, you're in for a treat with stories about a long chest hair and the confusion he experiences when it comes to the pronunciation of a certain high street restaurant chain. All that plus the usual treats of Tell Me Something I Don't Know and Dinner Winner!

The Squad put in a cracking shift today, producing well over an hour of delightful content for you to carry into your week. Take on some small talk, learn about why people used to wear hooves on their feet, recline for a moment with Morten Harket and get ready for this summers big blockbuster "The Core"!

Can you believe it?! The I.B.S finally have some anecdotes to share with you! After weeks of featureless lockdown, the stories came all at once today. Prepare for texts about fence boundaries, snakes in the toilet and aggressive crows. There's all that, plus a strange village phenomenon, some criminal colour-blindness and a couple of jokes too.

In any given module, you're always going to find a fair helping of the paranormal, but this week supercharges that offering. Get ready to meet Uncle JoJo! There's plenty else mind you; The Great Leader has a moment of forgetfulness that's in no way his own fault, a winner is FINALLY crowned in Dinner Winner and there are too many vending machines... FAR TOO MANY.

It's soundbites like that, which by now, you'll realise you only hear on The Important Broadcast: "Pop a sausage on a fish." But who says it? How does it come up and why?? There's only one way to find out. Immerse yourself for an hour or so in Module 157. How on Earth did we get here?

It's 2021 and The I.B.S are back to attack it with zeal. There's talk of rescue bikes, tandems bikes, power-bellies and RC planes. Did Steve have a hangover on New Years Day? YES. Welcome back everyone!

You might be a bit tired of people saying "blimey what a year" and "I won't be sorry to see the back of it" but here's a whole podcast with that sentiment. Keen to bid farewell to 2020, The I.B.S took a look back on the highlights of the year you may have missed, what with everything else going on. As the title suggests, dinosaurs are back, but there's also a new Adolf Hitler and even a couple of new world records.

Whatever happens, The Important Broadcast is with you and will continue to be! In the light of the tough Christmas news, The Great Leader made merry with Steve and Producer Vin so that you might feel a bit better about everything. Hear the tale of the horrible spider Christmas tree, the brand new smell that Steve has made and have a guess at who might be the focus of this weeks Know-Biz!
