It's important that you're prepared before pressing play today, because there's an awful lot to take in. Are you ready? Good. This week, most of the IBS have been sent gifts, but not everyone is happy. There's also a fair bit of supernatural stuff to get your teeth into and an unashamedly Churchillian moment from the bloke at No. 10.

Hi Important Broadcast listener!

Radio X are releasing Season 2 of a podcast we think you’ll enjoy. That’s A First! is hosted by comedians Maisie Adam and Tom Lucy and in each episode they’re joined by a guest who reveals some interesting firsts from their life… and then gets ripped to shreds. In series 1 we heard about the first time Romesh Ranganathan soiled himself just before he was due to go in stage and series 2 promises to be just as revealing with guests such as Joel Dommett, Kiri Pritchard McLean and Chris Kamara!

This is a quick taster from Maisie & Tom. If you like it, search ‘That’s a First!’  and subscribe on Global Player or wherever you get your podcasts.

150! That's got to be a milestone RIGHT?! Well... Not especially, no, because when you consider additional episodes i.e. Compulsory Podcasts, Bonus Modules etc. the team exceeded 150 a while ago, but STILL! Here's Module 150: A Module that will teach you how many bones a snake has (it's not one) and what "turncoat" means. There's a very one-sided Dinner Winner, some vintage Know-Biz and some vaccine news too.

Everyone remembered everything for this week? Sure? You've definitely remembered all the things you needed to remember about this particular week? Cool. This time the squad talk about a big bird voting scandal, Steve's Dad shouts at fireworks and there's a mystery on a UFO and Robbie Williams is there.

For all the time we've all spent wondering why pizza boxes are the shape that they are, you'd have thought someone would have explained it by now, wouldn't you? Luckily, Steve Ferdinando is on hand to make it all clear for us. That's not all though! Find out who's in The Great Leader's ever-expanding "crew" and enjoy a bit of poetry too.

No matter what goes on elsewhere, The IBS will deliver. This week, a man taking pictures of paving slabs causes confusion, Steve gives you a run down of what's what when it comes to relations and there's an awful lot of explaining to do on the paranormal side of things.

Another week to have a friend (digitally) round this week! Author of the fantastic "This Is Going To Hurt", Adam Kay joined the IBS to talk about his new book for kids. You can also expect a vintage Dinner Winner, tons of "Explain That" and a bit more sharp justice in "Crime & Punishment". Plus, is Steve's name even real?

It's a zinger this week. The IBS welcome the excellent Susie Dent, there's a glittering Dinner Winner, two blokes in Italy have Scouse accents and there's an interesting think piece entitled "What's Books???" There you go then; that should be everything you need, but do remember that there's an element of the work that is considered your responsibility. We're not messing about here. Get on with it.
