Dr. Micah Olson, MD, is the Valley’s trusted hormone expert. Dr. Olson founded Valley Healthspan, a Preventative/Functional Age Management practice, in 2024. The goal of his practice is to use a personalized, “n of one” approach to treat and prevent chronic diseases, with the ultimate goal of helping patients maintain their physical and cognitive ability, quality of life, and vitality as they age. A third generation Phoenician, Dr. Olson received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He originally specialized in pediatric endocrinology, completing his residency at Phoenix Children’s and his fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Olson directed the Obesity Program at Phoenix Children’s for 12 years and developed a reputation as a national expert in the management of pediatric obesity and endocrine disorders. He is board-certified in Obesity Medicine, and is regularly featured in Phoenix Magazine’s annual list of “Top Docs.” He has received multiple NIH-funded research grants, has co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications, and continues his research work as an Adjunct Professor in the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at Arizona State University.
