DINNER PARTNERS with Christopher & Eric

Toxic Love Month gets a hint of sugar courtesy of you, our beloved Party People. On The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page, we asked you to share the most romantic thing anyone's ever done for you, and your answers inspired a lively discussion of the specialness of all relationships, including friendships. But before the confection turned too sweet, we brought in our wayward critic-at-large Jordan Ampersand for a dressing down that was anything but saccharine, which may well please his most ardent critics…of which there appear to be many.

Toxic Love Month continues with the second in Christopher and Eric’s "true crime pairing" charting the long fall of one of the music industry's most influential producers. On this episode, they serve you a True Crime Movie time featuring David Mamet's version of the Phil Spector murder trial. PHIL SPECTOR was met with Emmy nominations when it debuted on HBO. But did its celebrated writer/director show any regard for the facts of the case? Or only the ones that fit his point of view? Find out how fact collides with fiction courtesy of stunning performances from Helen Mirren and Al Pacino, and a special appearance from TDPS favorite, famed prosecutor Marcia Clark.

No one chronicled a Hollywood murder mystery better than storied writer Dominick Dunne, and no one serves up Hollywood scandal better than your hosts Christopher and Eric. The first in one of their "true crime pairings", this installment of True Crime TV Club serves up DOMINICK DUNNE'S POWER, PRIVILEGE AND JUSTICE, season 1, episode 1, entitled "Phil Spector'. What really happened on that night twenty years ago when a down on her luck actress found herself at the isolated castle of a has-been music producer know for waving guns in the air to get his way? Does the blood splatter tell the truth or is the telling detail far more ordinary? It's the first episode of Toxic Love Month!

Movin' On Month continues and in typical, morbid Christopher and Eric fashion your hosts are celebrating with a special edition of True Crime TV Club that focuses on one of the most famous haunted house stories in American history. Who was the biggest victim of the Amityville Horror story? The beleaguered couple who claimed they were run out of their new home by demonic spirits? Or the young children caught in the crossfire of what many believe to be a high flown hoax? Your hosts tackle the unpleasant truths, possible lies and disturbing revelations in the documentary film, MY AMITYVILLE HORROR. And speaking of demons, beleaguered critic-at-large Jordan Ampersand is scheduled to make a visit too with interviews, insights and the results of his “State of the Gay Union” survey.

Have you heard the news? Eric Shaw Quinn is moving into a home of his own and in true TDPS style your hosts are celebrating by focusing on the negative. On The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page, we asked our beloved Party People to share with us the worst living situations they ever endured — and how they escaped. The answers ranged from the hilarious, to the revolting to the deeply emotional. Also, what's this we hear about a very special upcoming visit from TDPS critic-at-large Jordan Ampersand? A special announcement about his much anticipated upcoming segment.

Movin' On Month continues! Eric Shaw Quinn's finally getting his own place. To celebrate, we're bringing you an all new True Crime TV Club that proves it's always better to live alone. Dorothea Puente seemed like a sweet, charitable old lady who took in boarders out of the kindness of her own heart.  Then came the disappearances. And the strange smells. And the stupefying agents. Christopher and Eric serve up Episode 1 of Season 1 of the Netflix series WORST ROOMMATE EVER entitled "Call Me Grandma." We'll pass, madam, but thank you anyway.

New year. Same Christopher and Eric. After a series of special encores, your hosts return with their first completely new episode of 2023. Join them for a tour of the new holiday traditions they're building in the wake of losing Christopher's beloved mother, Anne Rice. Christmas is what you make of it, and it turns out your hosts made plenty — and it included lots of Yorkshire pudding and even more Thomas Kincade.

"God gave us memory so we might have roses in December." This J.M Barrie quote is one of Eric Shaw Quinn's favorites, and it's why your hosts have chosen to mark their first holiday season without our beloved Anne Rice with a special tribute series to her memory. Anne's book tour for PRINCE LESTAT took her all over North America, but it was in beautiful downtown Burbank where she stepped on stage for her only live interview with Christopher and Eric in front of an audience. Enjoy Anne at her most hilarious and outspoken as she basked in the glow of one of her most successful publications.

"God gave us memory so we might have roses in December." This J.M Barrie quote is one of Eric Shaw Quinn's favorites, and it's why your hosts have chosen to mark their first holiday season without our beloved Anne Rice with a special tribute series to her memory. In 2014, Anne thrilled her legions of fans when she announced the return of her most beloved character, the vampire Lestat. PRINCE LESTAT was published later that year, and your hosts Christopher and Eric traveled with her to New Orleans where they attended one of the wildest fan club celebrations to date. This intimate and special interview was recorded in Anne's hotel suite the morning after that spectacular event.

Join us as we travel back in time to our very first live broadcast from the TDPS studio in West Hollywood where we're joined by our first guest, Anne Rice. The beloved author — and beloved mother and friend — joined us for a lively, wide-ranging interview that exemplified her fiercely independent style.
