On this week’s mini episode, Haley catches up with Canadian professional triathlete Jen Annett. Sunday August 30th was meant to mark the return of Ironman Canada to its original home in Penticton, BC. But like many others, this race was postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Penticton local, Jen felt the collective heartbreak of missing out on this legendary race weekend, so she decided to make it happen herself. Jen tells us where the idea was born to create a “DIY Ironman” on the iconic course, what went into making it happen on the day, and how the community of Penticton came together to show their support.
