Safe to Hope

Domestic Sexual Abuse - Contributor - Season 2 Episode 6

Listen Later

Is ‘trauma-informed’ only a secular concept? What is Darby’s upcoming book about? How is 1 Peter 3:1-6 misapplied? Darby Strickland is back to discuss hope and care-filled biblical counsel for women devastated by sexual abuse in marriage. Darby will have abundant wealth to share on these and other topics with us.

If you want to know more about domestic abuse I suggest you go to Called to Peace.org. A ministry specific to domestic abuse. You'll find a lot of information and resources.

Darby Strickland's book Is It Abuse? is excellent for both victims and church leaders for identifying the patterns of abuse and in particular her chapter on marital sexual abuse in that book.

Dr. Jeremy Pierre and Dr. Greg Wilson's book When Home Hurts is particularly helpful for church leaders.
