The discussion also dives into Dr Llewellyn's decision to take a year off between medical school and his internship, a decision that was frowned upon by many. However, he shares how this year off actually enhanced his skills and prepared him for the role of an intern. He emphasises the importance of gaining experience in logistics, negotiation, problem-solving, and people management, as these skills are often crucial for interns.
