Is it possible to get off thyroid medication through proper nutrition?

In this episode of The Evolving Wellness Podcast, I chat with Dr. Carolyn Stone about thyroid disease, with an emphasis on Hashimoto’s disease. Dr. Stone discusses the different symptoms that you may have a thyroid disease, which diets are beneficial for thyroid health and the importance of healing past trauma for thyroid health.
Dr. Stone also talks about whether or not it’s possible to get off thyroid medication at some point throughout your health journey and if there’s such a thing as too much medication.
Dr. Stone is a licensed Naturopathic physician in the state of Arizona and the owner of Stone Naturopathic. She first started her practice in 2013. Dr. Stone has a passion for helping women with gut, hormone, adrenal, and thyroid issues. She was tired of hearing that women were not being heard by their health practitioners and instead brushed off or given an unnecessary prescription. She continues to fine-tune her practice and is always learning more about the big world of endocrinology and gastroenterology.
