I can’t tell you how many questions we’ve had about this Relax FAR Infrared Sauna that we sell on our website. We’ve owned ours for about 4 years now and it’s probably my most favorite health tool we own. There might be some other’s that come close like the Bellicon rebounder or Biomat but if I had to choose one, it would be this sauna.

Most people don’t realize that even drinking a green juice puts stress on the body. Stress wears us out and damages us at the mitochondrial level.

So how do we identify and then eliminate the 3 main stressors? This is what we talked about with Dr. John Bergman today in our studio.

Something Sharon shared on the show hit me in a unique way.

She said,

Just because you’ve got a good figure and look skinny on the outside, doesn’t mean you’re healthy

This resonated with me for a couple of reasons. The first is I have a friend who looked amazing from the outside. She was beautiful, skinny and judging from appearance only she looked like the picture of health, yet she passed away from colon cancer.

The other reason why that struck a chord with me is that they understand that there is a difference between being healthy vs being fit. Don’t get me wrong, we need both but I see people at the gym (my gym is right next to a bar) who looked ripped but they’ll go to the bar right after their workout to smoke and drink beer.

Clearly these people only want to look good and don’t care at all about their overall health.

Billy Blanks Jr. and Sharon Catherine Blanks are doing a wonderful job merging the two worlds. And believe me both worlds need each other. I can think of raw food gurus who are overweight or even underweight. They clearly don’t have any definition or muscle mass on their frame. Their entire focus is on food.

Then I see fitness trainers at my gym who tell their clients it’s okay to drink Pepsi. As long as people increase their cardiovascular fitness and burn calories and look a certain way, they’ll eat anything. It’s just sad.

So I love what the Billy and Sharon are doing. The other great thing about what they do is that they’re bringing back dance. I doubt there were any tribal cultures or ancient cultures for that matter that did not incorporate some form of dance into their lives on a regular basis.

For some reason we’ve lost that in our culture.

Well Billy and Sharon are helping to bring that back.

They also talk about some good dietary principles like snacking, tips for de-bloating, when to eat meals, how often we should leave after eating before going to sleep.

They are a fun and energetic couple whose desire is to empower people to live the kind of life they want to build for themselves.

In the interview they talked about how fitness and nutrition can be used as a catalyst to achieve even greater goals in life.

It was a complete delight to spend time with Dr. David Jockers who is the author of Supercharge Your Brain.

We talked about brain health and not just how to prevent and reverse the kind of brain issues people are having lately (like Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, brain tumors and brain cancers, brain fog, forgetfulness and more) but we also talked about some unique bio hacks and strategies for taking your brain health to a whole new level.

We had the incredible privilege of speaking with Dr. Gilbert Renaud on the subject of Recall Healing which is the title of his book along with his website itself.

For those of you who have never heard of Recall Healing (that was me a few years ago) it’s based on how our emotional conflicts can be the root of all our diseases.

I always had a feeling the cause of all disease is something other than physical haven’t you?

Of course there always seems to be a physical trigger with the disease process but I think the emotions and energy play the most critical role of how disease is able to take root.

Have you ever heard that a heart attack is the healing? Or cancer is the body actually healing? The reason why this idea seems to be backwards is because just like our eye sees upside down, so we look at disease in the wrong way.

The heart attack is actually the body doing the healing and the cancerous tumor is the body trying to heal itself. The “disease” happened long before any diagnosis or heart attack.

If this idea is new to you, you should really listen to this interview with Dr. Gilbert Renaud. He talks about how emotions are stored in the body and trigger the onset of the disease process which could take years to manifest in corporeal form.

Personally I think working with your emotions, lowering stress and not identifying with your disease is critically important if you want to begin the process of healing. So many times we identify with our opinions, our business that we’ve built up, our marriage or anything else physical. We think those things are “us.”

Getting way from this disease of identification is the first step in not only preventing the major diseases of our day but also reversing them.

I think Dr. Renaud is on the cutting edge of where we’re going in alternative medicine and natural healing. I don’t suspect traditional medical doctors trained in the western way will think there is anything here.

And that’s fine.

We’ll give them their surgery, pharmaceutical drugs, radiation treatments and vaccinations all day long. We’ll stick to what works like energy medicine, recall healing, holistic healing, stress management and nutrition to do our healing thank you very much. 🙂

Inside the sauna it’s threaded with silver which reflects the healing light of the sauna so it’s like you’re sitting in a room full of mirrors. The light literally bounces off all the walls of the sauna as you’re sitting inside which causes the heat to be distributed evenly inside the sauna.

I “accidentally” started selling Massage Tools in 1980. I had gone to some kind of local show with a friend of mine who happened to be a massage therapist. We ran across these two men (no one got hurt, we just met them at their booth) selling foot massagers at the show.

They convinced me to buy 24 foot massagers and try to sell them. And my friend was supportive in this endeavor because she liked the foot massager also. Anyway, I had been pretty much exclusively selling a line of nutritional products at that time. And within one week, I sold 14 foot massagers to my nutritional customers. So next thing I knew, I bought 100 foot massagers, took them to a show, and sold a lot of them. Then I went out to a National Health Show, seeing what I could do to sell more of these foot massagers, and ran into Kent, the Sandal Man from Australia. I traded Kent seven foot massagers for two pair of Masseur Sandals. I bought 50 pairs of Sandals a week later, and the rest is history. I went to a show in Michigan, sold lots of sandals, lots of foot massagers, and a few of my nutritional products, which I still sell.

So that’s a little bit of my history. I’ve been going to health shows since 1975, and since 1980 have been selling mainly massage tools & assorted other unique holistic health products. It’s been fun. I really enjoy turning people on to new ideas, new products, anything that can uplift them, and help them to be a happier, and a free-er person. I cherish freedom above all, an Inner kind of freedom, one that does not allow guilt, nor fear. Of course, we have to toe the line in those areas… doing our best listening to our inner connection with the life force. But in general I have found that guilt ties us to the past, and fear ties us to the future. And I’m like the marionette that raves about having no strings, no ties.

I never dreamed, as a graduate student in Mathematics, in a doctorate program at Ohio State, with an honors degree in Mathematics at Indiana University, that I would eventually quit graduate school (after 4 years), and start selling at first, vitamins, and later wellness accessories, unique nutritional supplements and all the uplifting holistic health products. But, that’s part of the adventure of Life. We start in one direction, and eventually, we get to where we need to be.

So whoever told Alice, (I think it was the Cheshire Cat, but it might have been Humpty Dumpty), when Alice was trying to find her way home, that it didn’t matter which way she went as long as she made the first steps, eventually she would find her way home.

So, like the fool who followed his folly, I have come to something which I very much enjoy – and that’s basically communicating. So all these massage tools and other products are just a ways to communicate to you, that you can feel better, that what most people accept as good health, simply isn’t! And when we discover there are whole other levels of healthy states of mind, and freedom, it’s truly incredible. We have accepted getting tired in the middle of the day, etc, etc., as normal.

Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Somehow, some way we can feel better. And massage tools is one way for people to experience a relaxed, and then focused awareness of first their body, and sometimes other things. It’s similar to what the scientists have been saying for years; we use only about 10% of our brain. Well, I am a Jiminy Cricket Fan too, and I believe in dreams coming true. So when you wish upon a star… those things can happen. And look at the picture below. Looks like my eyes are closed, but I’m looking down. And right above my head is a beautiful blue star.

LaShanda Greene joined us today for an in studio show. She was on her way down to San Diego for a fruit fest and stopped by to hang out for the day and do a recording.

We talked about many different subjects that we hope you enjoy. I will say (as I mentioned in the recording at the beginning that I accidentally forgot to turn on her mic at the very beginning so please bear with that.

We talked about detoxification, cleansing, iridology along with being intentional with your diet while at the same time being very flexible.

Many times we get attached to labels of a particular thing. We think that we are a man or a women. We think we are our gender. We think that we are a vegan or a vegetarian which cannot be true.

Our true core and essence is spirit and soul. Our non corporeal being cannot be any of those things.

So we talked about the evolution of her dietary habits and what particular diet has been helpful and useful to her.

We also discussed spirituality and personal development. In actuality if you follow health to its fullest extent, you’ll always be led back to the emotional and spiritual connections and causes of our diseases.

We talked about how all diseases are invisible in nature in terms of their cause. The actual cause of all disease is something we cannot see. We can only measure levels of minerals, vitamins, hormones and other things that can shed light on what “might” be going on inside the body.

Our health, vitality and longevity (or lack thereof) are intimately connected to our emotional and spiritual well being. There’s no way around it.

Dr. Alex Golden from http://www.healthyginger.com joined us today to talk mostly about women’s health, how to detox your body naturally and much more.

We hear a lot about cleansing and detoxification but sometimes we dive in too fast head first. I’m this way. I usually dive right in when it comes trying new foods, going on new adventures (heck I took a year off in 2001 and traveled around the world by myself just for fun).

But when it comes to cleansing and detox it’s really important to understand your body and how your body works.

So in this shoe we talked about the specific ways to detox, why cleansing and detox are so important and why we need to detox seasonally, which I think makes alot of sense.

In terms of people getting colonics done for example, it’s really important to know your gut flora before having a colonic administered and make sure to replenish the gut flora before, during and after having it done.

We also discussed women’s health (Alex and Megan work primarily with women) and what women need to do in order to get healthier and feel better.

Weight loss is just a by product. 🙂

Then towards the end of the show we talked about why it’s so important to be healthy. It’s my firm conviction that we ought not focus on poor health, or health at all. We should be aware of our health, and constantly strive to do better and learn more but being healthy shouldn’t be our primary focus.

That’s a big distinction. Obviously in this toxic world we live in, we do need to place more emphasis on getting healthier.

But ultimately health should support and facilitate vision. That vision is who we want to be in this life. That vision is what we want to accomplish.

Being healthy, vibrant and energetic is just the vehicle that gets us to become who we really are. Being healthy for health’s sake doesn’t do anybody any good unless you’re making the world a better place.

I don’t know if you know but we’re exposed to heavy metals in so many areas of our lives. The paints in our homes, the air from coal fire plants and chem trails raining down on us as well as jet fuel and car exhaust, mercury almalgum (silver) fillings, fish and many other places. Then if you consider other toxins like plastics, off gassing from framaldahyde in carpets and bed mattreses, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides in non organic foods, flu shots, vaccinations along with fluoride and pharmecutical medications these chemicals and toxins are wreaking havoc on our health.

I wrote an article a while back called 19 Ways To Detoxify the Body that list many of the daily practices Kate and I have been doing to prepare for having a child.

Many of you listeners may not think there’s a big problem here but just becasue you can’t feel it doesn’t mean the underlying health challenges you may face later in life aren’t beginning to fester right now.

The rates of autism, dimentia, and Alzheimer’s disease are constantly rising and it’s no wonder. Heavy metals and most notably mercury are building up in our bodies with no way to get out.

Our organs are gummed up from calcification, fibrosis and a poor diet that’s causing them not to work properly. As a result these toxins keep increasing to a level where we get a diagnosis of a very scary disease.

The other notable thing was how the blood brain barrier in our brains that are supposed to protect our brains from these chemicals, are beginning to weaken from electromagnetic field radiation from cell phones. As a result these chemicals are ending up in our brains causing all manner of neurological diseases in our society.

Think of how many people you know nowadays that are being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. The rate of autism has gone up by an incredible percent since the early 90’s.

Something else to note from this show also was that when one is exposed to two heavy metals in their body, the affect isn’t always that they have exposures to two substances. In other words one and one don’t make two. One and one can sometimes make ten or twenty.

It’s similar to how pharmecutical medications react to each other inside the body. They can end up being deadly and actually do kill hundreds of thousands of people per year.

Dr. Shade talked about how this is almost a form of chemical soup that’s happening inside our bodies. We really need to get rid of these poisons and he’s got some very unique heavy metal cleanses to help do that. We talked about chelation therapy and how his use of substances like glutithione play a critical role in helping to assist these toxins to get out.
