Humans are smart. And when we tell them that they can’t do things that people are actually doing in the world then it can be confusing. Especially for children. It helps to tell them that they can do those things and then teach them. It doesn’t ensure that they won’t do things that you don’t want them to do, but you will like who you are as a parent.
