Your brain has 3 functions when it comes to your survival. It only wants to keep you alive. It’s not concerned with your overall happiness. So every thought that your brain offers you can be categorized into one or all of the 3 functions. These functions are also called motivations because it is motivated to keep you alive by 1) Seeking Pleasure 2) Avoiding Pain 3) Conserving Energy. Your brain does not care about anything else but to do these three things for survival. Knowing this gives you power over your brain. When you have power over your brain then you can overcome the natural man. Woot woot!! That’s why we are here. To not just survive and live at the effect of our brains but to overcome our brains and thrive. This doesn’t mean our brains are wrong all the time. But we decide if we want to believe them or not. And no matter what you decide, you were designed this way which means that you are enough either way.
