I am asked quite often, "Lisa, why did you give your husband another chance after his affair?  Many times people will look from the outside in and think you are crazy for doing this. I use to be one of them. Until it happened to me.  

Until you actually experience betrayal, you don't really know how you will react.  For many, it's one and done. But for others, it's a hard road to recovery, restoration, and redemption that they choose.

That's what I chose. 

I chose the hard path. Am I'm so glad I did.

Today, it's our 10th wedding anniversary and we are celebrating the miracle God has done in both of our lives, individually and as a couple. We are celebrating by renewing our vows.  Why you ask? It's an outward expression of our new relationship, our new marriage.  

When betrayal hits, the old marriage is gone, dead, buried underneath the devastation of betrayal. You cannot expect to rebuild something that has been destroyed, but you can create something far more beautiful. And that's what we did.

Today, I share a short timeline story of the betrayal, why I chose to give it a last shot, and how we have been redeemed.
