E79: Hope for Easter Weekend when you’re in the midst of betrayal: From the Dust I will Rise
3 years ago this week, I was in the throws of devastation due to the discovery of my husband's affair.
Easter, a time of celebration and worship of our Risen Savior Jesus, was approaching and I was faced with spending it without my husband.
Grief, sadness, anguish, pain, and loss filled my soul.
I sat with my journal and began to write.
Today's episode is the poem that came during that time. As I reflected on the betrayal, pain, loss, and anguish I was feeling, I also reflected on what Jesus also endured through betrayal, pain, loss, and the anguish of the cross.
The poem brings us to the realization that Jesus understands our pain. He understands us more than anyone. He rose from the ashes of betrayal and loss and so will you.
