In our last 2 episodes, we looked at diet breaks (what they are, how to implement them etc!) and we spoke to Sophie May (women's health coach) about the menstrual cycle, and what exactly is happening in the female body at different times of the month.
and today, we're taking the info from these 2 convos, to look at how we can use diet breaks to our advantage to manage our training and nutrition (and cravings, hunger, energy & mood π€) around our cycle (if needed) to ensure we keep making progress towards our goals.

Today we are joined by Sophie May to cover the menstrual cycle and its phases, how these phases might impact our nutrition, training, energy and performance, as well as managing cravings and potentially adjusting training to suit different times in our cycle. This info is great to understand and be aware of during a fat loss phase, but also any phase! As females who are going to be eating for the rest of our life, and managing our cycle and hormones for a large part of that life, it's a no brainer to make sure we understand this stuff ππ½

In this episode, we're getting super clear on why we train ππ½ββοΈ We don't want to be in the mindset or habit of going to the gym just because we think we "should" or it's the "right thing to do!"... There are so many ways we can train, and so many benefits we can get out of training, so we want to actually understand all of these, and make a positive, conscious choice about what we actually wanna get out of training, and what we're doing it for!
