  • Thinking like a CEO inside your home
We talk a lot about systemizing your business, but what about our life and home?

When we bring the same CEO mindset that we approach our businesses with, into our life and home, the less decisions we have to make, the less stress we feel on a daily basis, and the better we can serve our audience and clients.

A less stressed mompreneur is a win, win for everyone involved.

In today’s 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast I’m sharing the four places where you can consider automation and systems in your home to make it run more efficiently. I’ll be diving deep into how I approach these areas of home and life, and how you can take these same ideas and make them your own, to start to simplify, automate, and systemize your life and home.

Whether focused on a movement, community, business, or family, Cristin shares practical skills to go from inspiration to activation alongside the insight and experiences of extraordinary women so that all women can work through their daily challenges and towards a stronger, brighter, and more inclusive female future.

Cristin specializes in voice, values, vision, and visibility. Cristin believes that we are each notable women, just as we are, and it is with women’s leadership that we remake the world. The Notable Woman is here to let conversation and community lead us to the catalyst we've been waiting for - hint - it's us.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Sharing your values, beliefs, and philosophies on current events and how the world operates is important as a business owner because it attracts the right clients to you, and repels those who are not ideal from you.

+ Values and voice are important in business because it backs up how you operate your business and why you do what you do in the way you do it. It makes the action items, intentional, purposeful, and in alignment with how you want to show up in your business.

+ The myth that you’re “just a small business” and that you’ll “share your values when you’re more profitable” is just that, a myth. It’s the foundation of your business and needs to be shared outright in the beginning, as you start to grow and scale your business.

+ It can be scary to share your values and voice at times. Educate yourself so that you can share more intelligently and firmly about the topic. Or if you don’t have the words, but do have an opinion, send your audience to experts in the topic you are discussing.

  • Writing better sales emails
Sales emails can be quite simple...if you let them be.

All sales emails are is a simple invitation for your email subscriber to join a program of yours.

After 4+ years of working inside of my own email funnels and the funnels of my clients, I’ve discovered that most mompreneurs, if they struggle with sales emails, are in one of two camps:

    1. They’re overwhelmed with the idea of writing sales emails, that they don’t even write them.
    2. Or they’ve written them, poured their heart and soul into them, and no one has bought. Which is next-level discouraging.

So in today’s 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast I’m sharing 3 ways to think about writing sales emails that will get you unstuck, thinking about sales emails in a different way, and help you to not feel so dang salesy!

  • Granting yourself permission to be creative with Jill Kane
Jill Kane is the creator of Jill Kane Designs. She lives outside of Philadelphia, PA with her husband and two young kids. She creates and sells modern hand lettering, abstract, floral, and watercolor art with inspiring and motivational mantras that remind individuals that,

    they are worthy of love
    they belong
    they are enough
    they are not alone
    they can do hard things

It is her intention that every person has a reminder of those truths to look at every day in their home or office.

In addition to creating inspiring art, she uses the creative process to teach others how to give themselves permission to try something new, gain mastery of their mindset, and live and more creative and whole-hearted life.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Jill’s superpower is sharing her journey authentically, as it is happening. She desires deep connection with people and its through sharing her story real-time she creates those connections.

+ Jill’s journey with creativity started at the same time as her journey with motherhood. She decided to stay home with her newborn son, and leave her job. She didn’t realize how much her worth was tied up in that job, and being home with her son exposed that idea of worth to her. The process of making art allowed her to learn how to trust in the process, how to try new things, and how shift, morph, and land on something that feels good to her.

+ The mantra that Jill leans on is inspired by Brene Brown, and that is “I am enough.”

+ The Vibrancy Collection is a new body of work inspired by mompreneurs who are building their businesses while also being fully present for their families. Jill is inspired by the drive that she sees in the online space from women who are choosing to believe in themselves and their business, when the results aren’t quite there yet. It’s that mission and focus that has inspired Jill in the creation of the Collection.

  • Mantras for mompreneurs
As a mompreneur, you have to have a strategy to re-frame your negative thoughts. We have enough “stuff” being thrown at us on a daily basis, that we have to be able to move through the very loud “mean girl” that lives inside of our heads.

A great way to do this through having a mantra to help you identify and work through negative thoughts.

    Why mantras?

They are an anchor thought. A way to center ourselves after getting knocked around by the world, other people, what we see on the news or on social media, a crappy DM, a crappy review, or….ourselves.

In today’s episode of the 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast I want to share my mantras with you, and then want to show you how I use them to change the story I’ve told myself in the past, sometimes continue to tell myself in the present, and the new stories I start to create regarding my future.

  • Content trends that aren't going anywhere with Samantha Semans
Samantha Semans is the founder of Ten 10 Social. With a hunger for freedom in her own life and a clear understanding of the tireless work of small businesses, Samantha set out to build a business from the ground up.

She fused her passions for shopping local, creativity, and serving others into Ten 10 Social. Not only does she enjoy the flexibility and newfound freedom for her family, but loves seeing other business owners’ dreams come to fruition.

“Helping busy entrepreneurs unload the tasks they find time consuming and then being replenished by the aspects of their business they love most brings me so much joy.”, Samantha says.

In her free time, Samantha can be found volunteering with her church, drinking a tad too much coffee (if that is even a thing), and happily raising her precious kiddos.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Recently Samantha moved across the country and her business didn’t miss a beat. How? Her systems. Her business thrives and lives on Dubsado, Click Up, systems, and automations.

+ One of the biggest mistakes that Samantha sees when it comes to content is not speaking to your ideal client in your content. The images, the way you write/speak, what you’re talking about, all needs to geared towards your ideal client, and make you relatable. This develops a strong connection between you, your business, and your audience.

+ Having a perfectly curated feed is actually detrimental to your business. It prevents us from showing up authentically on Instagram, and capping our creativity and connection.

  • My Friday wind down routine
You didn’t create a business to be “in it” all the time. You didn’t create a business to work 24/7 or to never take a day off.

So why do so many of us fall into the trap of working after the kids go to sleep at night and working weekends?!

Over the course of the last year I’ve figured out a way to work 4 days a week, doing the things that move the needle in my business, while cutting hours.

And I am 100% certain it’s because I have a routine that I go through on Fridays that allow me to be fully present in my rest days, allow me the flexibility to work if I want to, and make it so I don’t have to think about my business until Monday morning.

    And for me, that’s freedom!

I call it my Friday Wind Down Routine, and in today’s podcast episode I’m sharing with you exactly what this looks like for me, to inspire you to establish one in your business to set you and your business up for your well-deserved rest.Visit the links below to learn more about:

  • Fostering true and genuine connection on Instagram with Molly Cahill
Molly Cahill is a social media marketer who teaches chiropractors, NDs, health coaches, and other holistic wellness pros how to market themselves using Instagram in less time (without obsessing over followers and likes!) through her signature program, Holistic Marketing Hub.

After leaving a career in medical sales, Molly decided to combine her love of her two favorite things- all things health and holistic wellness + marketing and sales. Her unique approach isn't what you're likely used to hearing, and over the past two years, she has taught hundreds of students and clients to leverage Instagram for lead generation.

Molly and her husband, a helicopter pilot in the USMC, live in Pensacola, Florida with their four--year-old, MJ.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Molly’s point of view when it comes to Instagram is quality over quantity. Each of your followers/audience members is a beating heart and if you approach your business from a perspective of service to those people, instead of searching for more, it’ll make scaling much more impactful and purposeful.

+ Molly shares her favorite strategy for developing connections from her email list over to Instagram and what to do if you want to engage with someone who you don’t personally know.

+ Her best tip for working your Instagram account in 5 minutes a day or less to maximize engagement and true, genuine connection.

  • Utilizing your podcast for lead generation
In your business it's important to make sure that you're consistently and regularly connecting with new leads.

But it's also important to make sure that those new leads are QUALITY leads.

Getting more numbers is great, but if they're not ideal, what's the point?!

But time and time again, I hear from our Lead Generation Lab members and 1:1 clients that their listeners stay listeners. There is no conversion over to becoming a lead.

So on today's episode I'm sharing 8 ways that you can utilize your podcast for lead generation!

  • Creating intentional internal and external dialogues as a mompreneur with Tara Whitaker
Tara Whitaker is a freelance book editor who also helps aspiring editors launch their work-from-home editing businesses. Tara helps eliminate the overwhelm and loneliness that can come with creating a freelance business from scratch with her membership program, the Freelance Editors Club. The club provides education, support, and accountability for new freelance editors so that they can strategically build their businesses without the fluff--and have fun in the process!

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Tara’s super power is helping her clients develop and implement a specific and clear path to get their freelance editing business up and running with a focus on the work that produces results, first.

+ The first step that Tara all recommends her students take in starting their own freelance editing business is mindset. The words we use outward, as well as inward, are important and inform how we experience situations, interactions, and how we act (or don’t act) inside of our businesses.

+ As words, language, and world events evolve and morph, especially after a year like 2020, it’s important to make sure that the words we are continuing to use aren’t perceived as tone deaf, insensitive, or downright rude, despite our good intentions! Listening as we create to how others are speaking about topics is a really important skill to have as we navigate a world that is ever-evolving.
