  • Establishing a foundational relationship with yourself with Ania Norori
Ania Norori serves fellow working moms along their motherhood journey. She understands the challenges that come along with having to juggle the ever changing dynamics of being an ambitious, high-achieving, career-oriented woman, who refuses to compromise on her ability to be the best spouse and mother.

Ania guides her clients through establishing core pillars that make their foundation solid while also teaching techniques that help to navigate individual circumstances. Ania is passionate about this work because she has personally experienced the impact that it can have on the family unit and she is committed to helping others achieve a transformation too.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Ania’s super power is helping women to untangle feelings and emotions around what is going on in our relationships. Often times, we forget that relationships take time, have their ups and downs, and are an ever-evolving thing. When it’s not working, we think that it’s time to end it or that we should cut that person off, when what’s really going on is the relationship is evolving. And that evolution is a good thing and needs to happen to facilitate growth.

+ Ania’s starting point for her clients is the relationship they have with themselves. When you are in a toxic relationship with yourself, how are you supposed to have a loving and productive relationship with anyone else?

+ One of the key factors to developing a stronger relationship with yourself is having someone that you can open up to and share how you’re feeling. Sometimes it’s your spouse, a friend, a therapist, and/or a coach.

  • What is lead generation?
Lead generation is one of the most confusing topics when it comes to online business.

I get asked all the time, what is a lead? What's lead generation? What does all of that mean?

So on this week's 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast episode, I'm sharing more about my perspective on what a lead is and how to think about lead generation.

You'll hear different perspectives and opinions from various experts on what leads are and what lead generation means, but as a busy mompreneur, we do business a bit differently than someone who can work 40+ hours a week.

If you're building your business to 6-figures in the small "mom cracks" of your day, then leads and lead generation need to be approached a bit differently.

So on today’s podcast I’m chatting through:

+ What a lead is and how as a busy mompreneur you should be approaching lead generation differently.
+ Why email marketing is vitally important if you are building your 6-figure business in the "mom cracks" of your day
+ Why I don't agree with most lead generation experts on what lead generation is

  • Ditching the SuperMom mentality with Nikki Kountouriotis
Nikki Kountouriotis is a self discovery coach to soul-inspired Supermoms. She helps over-committed mompreneurs break free from being their family’s task master and become spiritually awakened to a creative soulful life on their own terms.

She’s gone from burnt out, living like a machine on autopilot, and overwhelmed, to unapologetically living a life of freedom and flow on her terms.

Nikki is married to her high school sweetheart of 21 years. Together they have grown an empire of over a dozen successful companies since her early 20’s. They are raising two talented and spirited teen daughters.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Nikki’s super power in her business is trusting her intuition. She says that when making decisions she taps into how her body feels. Even if it’s a scary decision, or outside of her comfort zone, her body still gives her a big “YES!”, knowing that there is probably going to be a bit of fear dripping in, and that’s ok too.

+ Nikki’s SuperMom Recovery Framework helps her clients approach their day and parenting, from a freedom and flow. The pillars are establishing a morning routine, meditation, and boundaries around activities and headspace.

+ Yoga helped Nikki to dive into her spiritual side. What yoga did was calm down her mind, and allow her to focus on connecting her breath with her body. And while it wasn’t immediate at first, Nikki finally started to realize the importance of the mind body connection, which lead her to explore her spirituality, and now it’s a huge part of how she coaches her clients and how she’s arranged her daily life.

  • Using the power of fear to create courage with Jessica Stong
Jessica Stong is passionate about helping women create a life that is full of joy and peace. While so many women are crushed by perpetual overwhelm, constant guilt, or even a lack of purpose, Jessica is on a mission to show them how to manage their brains and to truly feel their feelings. She equips women to overcome all of their self-created fear and build a life of intention.

Jessica is the founder of Lives of Courage, a holistic coaching approach, which utilizes the most effective and proven coaching methods to overcome roadblocks and clear the path for personal success. Through Lives of Courage, Jessica has the privilege of working with women of different ages in distinctive life stages to change their lives through coaching. As part of her practice, she developed the psychological framework Cycle of Courage, which supports individual growth and development. As someone who has utilized these tools and walked through the Cycle of Courage herself, she can show you how it is done.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Jessica says that our thoughts create our emotions, and our emotions drive our actions. So when we are feeling fear, we don’t need to push our fear down and avoid it, we need to acknowledge that it’s a part of us, but it doesn’t decide what our actions are. Courage is not just an emotion, it’s an action too.

+ Thinking positively and speaking affirmations isn’t a logical way to create true change within your thoughts. In order to change the way you think, which changes your actions, you need to face your fears head on. As Jessica says, “You gotta name it to tame it.”

+ Jessica teaches a technique she calls “ladder thoughts”. In order to reach our end goal, you have to map out pit stops along the way. So by creating a ladder of thoughts that each build on one another, it makes making the end goal a possibility.

+ One of Jessica’s ways that she coaches is by helping her clients feel their emotions, and then develop strategies to move through and past their feelings. Her motto is, “You have to feel it to heal it.” Instead of pushing your emotions down, she gives her clients strategies to process, cope, and then change the way they think about their emotions.

  • Using hormones to help us organize our business with Leisha Drews
Leisha Drews, RN, FDN-P is a holistic hormone coach, women’s health educator, & founder of Abundant Life Wellness. Her mission is to empower women to step out of the frustrating cycle of imbalanced hormones, painful periods, and feeling at war with their bodies and into feeling empowered and clear about what their bodies need.

She is certified as a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, and coaches women personally, as well as in her Decode Your Cycle course. She is a mom of two littles, and loves to help moms find the joy in their motherhood again! When not talking about periods, she can be found outdoors with her family, reading a novel, or trying a new recipe.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Hormones give us exactly what makes us a woman. Hormones are not bad, but are here to give us our unique super powers, as women.

+ Using your cycle phases can help you, as a mompreneur, identify when you’ll be most productive, most tired, and even the most magnetic. Knowing what stage of your cycle you’re in, can help you identify your tasks for the day.

+ When you are on your period, it’s a great time to plan your month. Your left and right side of your brain talk to one another the most during this time of the month. It’s not a great time to plan a launch or any high energy activity in your business.

+ In the Follicular Phase you are more magnetic. This is a great time to plan a launch, create live videos, record videos, or even record podcasts. During this phase, it’s a great time to show up in person.

+ The first step in determining if your hormones are out of whack is to track your cycle.

  • The problem with establishing a word of the year
    Happy New Year 6-Figure Momprenurs!

I’m excited for the first month of the podcast this year because we’re focusing on all things wellness. It’s the thing my clients, my colleagues, and my friends always identify as wanting to improve, no matter what level of business and/or stage of life they may be in. Wellness is ALWAYS something that busy mompreneurs define as wanting to improve upon.

So to kick off the wellness series this month and year, on today’s podcast I’m chatting words of the year and why they are flawed, most of the time.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a word of the year. I pick one every year and it really helps me to be clear, focused, and stay tied to my bigger picture.

But so many mompreneurs simply pick a word without it being tied to a bigger vision that they have for their business and/or life. And so after a couple of weeks of focusing on it, the word gets thrown to the wayside and forgotten.

On today’s podcast I’m chatting through:

+ how to use your word of the year
+ how to make sure it ties into your bigger vision for your business
+ and why risk should be an inherent part of your word choice

  • Creating multiple income streams with Deonjala Williams
Deonjala Williams is the founder of Heart and a Heat Press, an online business educational platform.

With over 12 years of entrepreneurial and retail experience, Deonjala teaches her community how to launch their own profitable t-shirt printing business in 60 days or less.

Deonjala, known more commonly as “Dee”, has had years of corporate employment in retail where she gained significant experience in business, processes and people management. But this didn’t really satisfy her sense of calling, her love of teaching and the drive to build something lasting. Unbeknownst to her boss at the time, she had been planning her exit from the 9-5 for some time when she handed in her resignation letter with great satisfaction.

She went on to found Dee’s Sweet Tees and develop Heart and a Heat Press, changing her and thousands of other people’s lives in the process.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Deonjala is an expert at diversifying her income, not necessarily by starting a new business, but by going deeper into her zone of genius. So instead of splitting yourself and your energy into learning a new product and/or industry, serve your existing audience in a bigger and better way by offering them more options in your specific area.

+ Deonjala always looks at the 80/20 rule when it comes to diversifying her revenue streams. Her perspective is that 80% of your income will come from 20% of your clients, so how can you take those existing clients and either keep them as clients for longer, or serve them in a more comprehensive way. Digging deep into what’s working and what’s working efficiently is a fantastic way to decide how and what to diversify in your business to increase your revenue streams.

+ Pivoting has been something that Deonjala has had to do this year over and over again, due to the coronavirus pandemic. She even went so far as to splinter off sections of her premium course to respond to what her audience was telling her they wanted and needed to hear from her.

  • My biggest entrepreneurial regret
This week on the podcast I’m reflecting on 6 years of online entrepreneurship.

I’ll be sharing a bit more of my story of the early days of my business and the biggest regret I have when it comes to building a business for long-term, sustainable success.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a HUGE fan of the process of entrepreneurship. I truly believe that we need to test, and reflect, and fail, in order to land on a strategy and a business that lights us up, but I also think that if we can fast-track that process, why wouldn’t we?!

So it’s my hope that through today’s episode, I help you to learn from my biggest regret.
