• Show first then tell - show AAC by teaching a lesson with students and in classrooms/settings the students are in so staff can see AAC implementation is possible in their classroom
• Interpret questions as curiosity (not as push back) and be someone that staff can ask questions to as they learn
• Show AAC implementation in the classroom and make it simple - use routines staff already have and materials they already have access to
• Let it take time - nothing changes overnight
