In today’s episode, Dr. Scott and Tommy discuss an interesting study on the effects of time restricted eating (fasting) on shift workers. There have been shown to be increased cardiometabolic risks for this population of workers. However, this study shows how fasting and a fasting lifestyle can combat some of those potential health risks! They include essential frontline workers, such as physicians, nurses, police, pilots, and firefighters. These essential workers are the heroes of our society, hence the name The Healthy Heroes Study. Shout out to all the folks that fill these hours and keep us safe and keep us going!
