In today’s episode, one of my clients, Lauren Chapman, shares her story of how she survived an ectopic pregnancy and thyroid cancer.
Like many women, Lauren’s experience navigating the medical system was not smooth and was full of obstacles that left her feeling defeated and unheard. Starting with an ectopic pregnancy shortly after her first daughter was born, Lauren quickly began to experience exactly what it means to be a woman fiercely advocating for her own health.
A Hashimoto’s diagnosis that was practically ignored, discovering thyroid nodules, worries of having cancer that was brushed off as being totally fine, and later opting to have half her thyroid removed only to discover that her cancer worries were legitimate. All of these events lead Lauren down a very frustrating battle through the medical system. Unfortunately, this is relatable to so many women who are following their body’s intuition and ultimately are ignored when they finally seek help.
Join me for this eye-opening conversation with Lauren about her journey, how she managed the many stages of advocating for herself, and ultimately finding SHE Talks Health to help her heal from the trauma.
