EP107 如何回应职场称赞 & Constructive Feedback

我们之前在EP100的时候聊了:「The right way to praise and correct others如何在职场上用英文称赞别人、以及如何礼貌地给别人建议」。

今天我们就要来讲这个主题的「反面」:

� 当别人称赞你、鼓励你、或给你建议(feedback)时,你该怎么自然又专业地回复?

这些能力在 西方职场文化里真的非常重要。

� Series 1: The Art of Receiving Praise (如何优雅接受称赞)


Card 1: Core Mindset & Formula (核心思维与公式)

� Cultural Context (文化差异):In Western workplaces, excessive modesty ("No, I'm not that good") can be seen as a lack of confidence or even dismissing the other person's judgment.在西方职场,过分谦虚(“哪里哪里,我很差”)会被视为缺乏自信,甚至是否定对方的眼光。Key Principle: Accepting praise = Respecting their observation.核心原则: 接受称赞 = 尊重对方的观察。

� The Golden Formula (黄金回复公式):

Thank (感谢)

Acknowledge (承认/接受)

Context (补充说明背景 / 归功团队 / 提及未来目标)


Card 2: Team & Public Settings (团队与公开场合)

� Context: Project Reviews, Town Halls, All-hands meetings.

� Key: Don't take all the credit, but don't reject it either. Share the spotlight.

(不独占功劳,也不过度推辞,将高光时刻分享给团队。)

"Thanks! The whole team put in a lot of effort. I’m glad we delivered this together."(谢谢!整个团队都很努力,我很高兴我们一起完成这件事。)

"Appreciate it! Everyone contributed in different ways — super proud of the team."(感谢!每个人都有不同贡献,我真的以这个团队为傲。)

"Thanks! Really appreciate the team’s support — this was a group effort."(谢谢!要特别感谢团队的支持,这真的是大家一起完成的。)


Card 3: Individual Performance (个人表现)

� Context: Praise for Work Ethic, Communication, or Crisis Management.

� Key: Show confidence without arrogance. Mention your deliberate effort.

(展现“自信但不自大”,并强调你有“刻意练习”。)

Work Ethic (工作态度):"Thank you! I’ve been trying to be more proactive this quarter, so I’m glad it shows."(谢谢!这季度真的有刻意练习更主动,很高兴您看到了。)

Communication (沟通):"Thanks! I’ve been trying to make messages simpler."(谢谢!我最近有在练习让信息更简洁。)

Crisis Management (危机处理):"Thanks — I just tried to stay calm and focus on the next step."(谢谢,我当时就是保持冷静、专注于下一步。)


Card 4: High-Level Praise & Ideas (高层肯定与创意)

� Context: Ideas/Insights praised, or praise from a VP/Director.

� Key: Emphasize logic and maintain a professional presence.

(强调“思考逻辑”与“稳重感”。)

Ideas (想法):"Thanks! That idea came from a customer insight we found last week."(谢谢!灵感来自我们上周发现的客户洞察。)

From Boss/VP (高管):"Thank you — really appreciate the feedback. I’ll keep building on this direction."(谢谢,真的很感谢反馈。我会沿着这个方向继续努力。)

High Impact (高影响力):"Thanks! That means a lot coming from you."(谢谢!从您口中听到这句话真的很有意义。)


� Series 2: The Art of Constructive Feedback (如何成熟应对反馈)


Card 5: Core Mindset & Formula (核心思维与公式)

� Cultural Context (文化差异):Constructive Feedback is not criticism; it's a responsibility to help you improve.建设性反馈不是批评,而是主管帮助你进步的责任。Key Principle: Don't be defensive. Show you are "coachable."核心原则: 不要表现出防御性。展现出你“可受教”的特质。

� The Golden Steps (黄金回复三步骤):

Acknowledge (接受/感谢)

Clarify (厘清具体内容)

Action (采取行动)


Card 6: Specific vs. Vague Feedback (具体问题与模糊建议)


� Context: Specific errors pointed out, or vague advice like "Be more strategic."

� Key: Focus on how to improve. Ask clarifying questions appropriately.

(把重点放在“如何改进”,不懂就问,以对齐期待。)

Specific Error (具体错误):"Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify, is it the length or the structure?"(谢谢您的建议!想确认一下,问题在于长度还是架构?)

Vague Advice (模糊建议):"Thanks! When you say ‘more strategic,’ what would that look like in this context?"(谢谢!您说“更具策略性”,在这个情境下具体看起来是什么样的?)

Align Expectations (对齐期待):"Could you share an example so I can align with your expectations?"(您可以举个例子吗?让我能对齐您的期待。)


Card 7: Direct or Disagreeing (应对直接或不同意的反馈)


� Context: The boss is harsh/direct, or you feel misunderstood.

� Key: Buffer the emotion. Don't react immediately. Process first.

(先缓冲情绪,不要急着反驳。先消化再回应。)

Dealing with Harshness (面对直言):"Thanks for pointing that out — I’ll adjust it starting today."(谢谢您指出来,我今天就开始调整。)

Need Time to Process (需要时间消化):"Appreciate the honesty — let me process it first."(感谢您的坦诚,让我先消化一下。)

Polite Disagreement (礼貌表达不同观点):"Thanks — I didn’t see it that way, but I appreciate you bringing it up."(谢谢,我原本不是这样看的,但感谢您指出来。)


Card 8: Reviews & Peer Feedback (年度评估与平级反馈)


� Context: Performance Reviews (crucial for promotion) or feedback from colleagues.

� Key: Demonstrate a "Growth Mindset." Be easy to work with.

(展现“成长思维”与好相处的态度。)

Performance Review (年度评估):"Thanks — I appreciate the honesty. I’ll focus on this next quarter."(谢谢——感谢您的坦诚。我下个季度会重点关注这一点。)

Follow Up (后续跟进):"Appreciate it — I’ll set specific goals and follow up with you."(感谢,我会设定具体目标并向您汇报。)

Peer Feedback (同事反馈):"Thanks for telling me! Really appreciate it — I’ll adjust next time."(谢谢你愿意告诉我!真的很感激——我下次会调整。)
