As we enter the post-holidays, post-New Year part of winter, people may be dealing with bigger, heavier feelings of sadness. This week, Sarah Rice and Therapy Jeff are here to help you recognize and identify those feelings, to break down the difference between general sadness and depression, and to tell you about a few of their own strategies for dealing with sadness. Sometimes, it means laying on the floor and listening to the most angsty emo you can find; other times, it might mean being as gentle with yourself as you would a child, and sometimes, you have to start simple and do what Sarah’s mom says: “Chop wood. Carry water.”
