Disrupting Divorce: Conversations for Women

EP56: How to Become a Difference Maker with Heather Schaefer

Listen Later

Women, in general, are natural givers especially when they are empowered and confident. During divorce, especially during the midst of divorce, confidence can be impacted by what you wear, your financial situation and even the people that you surround yourself with. There are things that you can do that will boost your confidence and help you to move forward.

Heather Schaefer, Personal Stylist and Chief Team Builder, is passionate about helping people to be difference makers. Her mission is to empower women to be confident in their own skin and become difference makers in their home, their workplace, and their community. In this episode, she explains that the common thread amongst women is that we like to look good. Not for other people but for ourselves. When we put on our super suit, that first layer of clothing, it helps us work better, be kinder, our attitude shifts, and our posture changes. Dress with confidence, it helps you feel like you can take on the day!

When it comes to financial confidence, think outside the box. There are more people today that are generating more than one income. Having that extra income allows you the freedom and flexibility to do the things you want to do when you want to do them. The market right now is great for thinking outside the box like working from home or job sharing. When it comes to running your own business be sure to narrow your niche with what you are offering and know the solutions you can solve for other people.

Our community can be so greatly impacted when women can have more flexible income and freedom in how much they give. When we are going through a life change or a struggle, there is so much that can happen when we step outside of ourselves and think of another person first. When we do that, it will build up your confidence as well as the person that you are serving, that you are walking alongside. Surround yourself with people that want to pour into you, that are the most positive, supportive people that you can find. When you come out of your struggle, you will be stronger and more confident.

In the words of Sandra Yancy, Founder of eWomen Network – "Every master begins as a disaster."

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Confidence in your own skin
  • Confidence in your household income
  • Confidence in your community
