Ed Pienta (pee-n-tah) has struggled with his weight since grade school. Everyone called him Husky, and family and friends made excuses for his weight by saying "He was always big boned." He was always active playing sports but always found food as a reward. His childhood doctor even prescribed drugs for weight control. As he entered adulthood, he tried several hospital programs and also Weight Watchers, losing 75 lbs., but continued to struggle with emotional eating, snacking all day, and eating fast food. The rollercoaster of losing and gaining weight continued, and then on Jan. 1st, 2022, the time was right to retire. Almost 70 years old and 252 lbs, he decided to get fit and healthy.
