The fear of investing in an employee who winds up being the wrong fit (or worse siphoning intellectual property and trade secrets then bails) is a very common stagnating roadblock.

But the fact is, there really are no guarantees. That’s the beauty of the human experience. It’s about going all-in and allowing ourselves the grace to fail, to lose, to make mistakes.
