On the other hand, you may have people cheering you on so they can hitch onto your success, with a sole focus on how your growth can pull them along too.

Women are often seen as “business novices,” even when they’re the most brilliant business brains on the globe. A lack of skill and knowledge is never the problem—most women just need the nudge to unlock their own power and wisdom rather than seek validation and answers from outside sources.

You don’t need a personal board of directors for advice, you need one because it’s a great place to gather insight from people with the right criteria. This includes having high expectations of you, your best interest in mind, and a challenging perspective gleaned from experience.
