This week I give my high-level thoughts regarding the recent friendly debate between Dr. Anthony Chaffe and Georgi Dinkov (Episode 272).
Even though there are some differences between the Pro-metabolic and Carnivore way of eating there are quite a bit of things that overlap between the two. Such as:
- Prioritizing Ruminant Animals (avoid Chicken and Pork)
- Limit Gut Stressors (grains, beans, undercooked vegetables)
- Remove Seed Oils (limit PUFA consumption)
- Increase the Consumption of Saturated Fats
- Avoid Processed Junk Food
All of these principles will lead to optimizing your health and how you want to utilize carbohydrates is up to you! I believe consuming easily digestible whole food carbohydrates (fruit, honey, cooked tubers...) is a great way to increase gut motility, help optimize thyroid function, lower stress, increase minerals and bring in more healthy calories.
