Lisa is a retired vocal music educator and a professional musician. She is also a fitness enthusiast and is a long-distance runner and an avid hiker.
Lisa Glick started struggling with an eating disorder at age 14. She went from borderline anorexia getting down to 45 kilos (100 pounds) at 5'3" in high school to weighing 72 kilos (160 pounds) by the time she left college some years later. Years of fluctuating weight loss and gains followed. She managed to hover around 58 kilos (130 pounds) by severe diet restrictions and exercise. Fear of food was always an issue for Lisa.
After suffering for years with bouts of depression, Lisa was finally diagnosed at age 32 with bi-polar disorder. After a long, uneven road to recovery she realised that the eating disorder was a result of years of depression.
In 2016 Lisa found keto which then led to intermittent fasting. Lisa considers herself a recovered food addict and in remission. She is vigilant about her wellness. Her tools include running, hiking, dancing, singing, community service, eating whole foods and practicing gratitude always. Of course, she includes intermittent fasting in her impressive tool kit.
