You may have the best of intentions to travel through the holiday season with intention, grace, and ease this year AND you may also find yourself sliding down the slippery slope of negotiating your way out of your good intentions if you aren't careful.

A lot of people call this self-sabotage. Moreover, the personal development space uses this label a lot. Which, personally, I think is a mistake and hugely problematic because it implies that you are intentionally hurting yourself. You're not.
