It’s another exclusive Real Health interview this week when I had the opportunity to speak to one of Ireland’s favourite sports people, Brian O’Driscoll.
From a sunny Herbert Park, Brian spoke honestly about the lows of life after rugby, how he needed to train hard again to find happiness and balance in his life, and why he needed to partner up to help motivate himself when it came to training and gym work.
He’s frank about the lows and negative thoughts that can intrude in your life and the importance of dealing with them through switching off and focusing on the positive.
Plus, he tells me why enjoying yourself, having a good time and treating yourself is so important too.
“Most people want a balance in their lives,” he says. “I like to be able to treat myself but just make sure to make more good decisions than bad ones.”
It’s a fascinating thirty minutes with Brian O’Driscoll that is revealing, open and intimate and I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
