In this video I talk about family systems theory and how it can be applied to children and adult, and the concepts of intergenerational trauma and how pain gets passed down through genes and experiences. I also talk about Shia Labeoufs amazing movie "Honey Boy", where themes of intergenerational trauma are explored through an auto-biographical retelling of his experience being a child star and his relationship with his father.
