Successful franchisors understand that happy, successful franchisees equal success for franchisors.
How do you increase the lifetime value of franchisees? That is, how do you support your franchisees in such a way that they increase their success and optimize their value in your franchise system?
Today, Erik breaks down this topic with Dr. John Hayes, Titus Professor for Franchise Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Hayes has worked in franchising since 1979 as an advisor to franchisors. He has owned several franchises and he served as the CEO of HomeVestors of America, a brand for real estate investors.
This episode will be instrumental in helping franchisors realize what it takes to help franchisees achieve success and take them to their full potential.

In a follow-up to last week's episode, Erik gives you the Top 3 Ways to remove yourself from your business.
“If you don’t have big dreams and goals, you’ll end up working for someone that does.”
Have you heard that quote before?
Here's a secret about that quote...you could be the one that you end up working for!
Far too often, Entrepreneurs find themselves stuck in the day-to-day operations of their businesses.
They lose the big picture purpose of why they set out to own their own business in the first place.
The truth is, if you purchase a business only to work inside of it every day, you really just bought yourself a job...
Let that sink in a bit...
Here's what I want you to do:
Grab a pen and paper and list the top 3 reasons why you should remove yourself from your business.
Need some inspiration? check out last week's episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jz6g...
Ok, great! Now check out today's episode to learn HOW to remove yourself from your business. 😎

In his book, The E-Myth, Michael Gerber coined the phrase:
"Work ON Your Business, Not IN It."
Here's his full quote:
“Once you recognize that the purpose of your life is not to serve your business, but that the primary purpose of your business is to serve your life, you can then go to work on your business, rather than in it, with a full understanding of why it is absolutely necessary for you to do so.”
While it may sound counterintuitive, Entrepreneurs understand the principle that your business serves you and not the other way around.
Getting stuck in your business is often one of the toughest challenges business owners face. That's why I wanted to share 3 reasons I stepped out of my business.
Reason #1 - 01:32
Reason #2 - 03:47
Reason #3 - 15:00
What are more reasons why you would want to step out of your business?

Are you a visionary or are you an integrator?
If you've never asked yourself this question, it's time to start! Chances are, you're hindering yourself from scaling your business by:
1. Missing a clear vision if you're an integrator
or
2. Getting stuck on the necessary steps to take to reach your goals.
That's where Casey Cavell comes in.
Casey specializes in helping business owners (particularly visionaries) remove themselves from the day-to-day to build a business that allows them to put family first and pursue other passions.

You never know how connections you have made will come through.
During my time on the border of Poland and #Ukraine, I saw first-hand the value of a network.
I was able to raise over $20k from one Facebook post (all of which went directly to Ukrainian people fleeing the crisis), connect with people who translated for me on my trip, and help foster connections between people to aid in transporting #refugees, rescue #orphans, and much more.
Check out part of my story in a special edition of the Franchise Secrets Podcast. If you thought networking was important before, you'll come away from this episode recognizing it's a necessity.
